Based out of our Cambridge, Ontario office, we work across Ontario serving government and private sector clients.

Since 1999, North-South Environmental Inc. (NSE) has provided ecological services to private and public sector clients. As a specialized ecological consulting firm, we provide expertise in aquatic, terrestrial and wetland ecology, natural heritage/environmental inventories, impact assessments and natural heritage / environmental planning. We apply a science-based foundation and a strong ethical standard to find practical environmental solutions with positive outcomes for our clients and the natural environment. Our staff include experts in ecology, environmental policy, natural environmental planning and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
NSE’s vision is a sustainable and healthy natural environment for all. This vision informs all of what we do; we strive to embody this vision in our work, our decision-making and how we operate as a business. Our mission flows from this vision: to create sustainable solutions for natural systems. This is foundational to our work.
As experts in aquatic, terrestrial, wetland ecology and GIS, we work with planners, engineers, hydrogeologists, landscape architects, urban foresters and other professionals to find sustainable solutions that maintain, restore and manage natural environment systems in the context of urbanizing environments, as well as rural or wilderness settings. Based in Cambridge, Ontario, NSE provides services across Ontario and beyond.
