Bio

Brynn has a M.Sc. in Ecology with a focus on avian diversity and abundance within agricultural landscapes. With extensive experience in academic and field settings, she has honed her skills in designing and executing research projects, collecting and analyzing ecological data, and effectively communicating scientific findings to a broad audience.

Brynn has experience using and researching the effectiveness of Autonomous Recording Units (ARUs). These autonomous recording units are useful tools when studying birds, bats, and amphibians, allowing for extensive data collection over extended periods, even in remote locations. Her commitment to conservation and sustainable practices is evident in her work, where she strives to bridge the gap between scientific research and practical applications for stakeholders, including private landowners and conservation authorities.

Over the course of eight years through both her education and employment, Brynn has completed ecological field work and developed her field skills in a range of survey types for various fauna and flora. Over the course of her two and a half years as an ecological consultant she has authored and co-authored many reports assessing Natural Heritage and Species at Risk.
