Environmental Impact Assessment

An Environmental Impact Assessment (or sometimes referred to as Environmental Impact Study/Statement, or even Natural Heritage Evaluation or Natural Heritage Impact Assessment) is often required when development is proposed in proximity to a natural heritage/environment feature such as a woodland, wetland or watercourse. Our team works with the development industry and municipalities, often as part of multi-disciplinary teams, to prepare environmental impact assessments for projects at various scales where required to address applicable municipal, provincial and/or federal regulations and natural environment policies. We understand the many complex provincial, municipal and conservation authority policies and regulations, and routinely consult and liaise with the regulatory agencies that review and approve development applications. Services include:

  • Environmental Impact Studies (EIS/EIA)

  • Natural Heritage Evaluations

  • Environmental Assessment (EA)

  • Renewable energy (wind and solar)

  • Cellular tower site assessment

  • Species-At-Risk (SAR) assessment

  • Butternut Health Assessment

  • Tree Preservation and Protection Plan

  • Peer review services on behalf of municipalities
