Nathan is a senior ecologist and has been working in the ecological and environmental fields since 2014.

Bio
Nathan has gained experience in both terrestrial and aquatic monitoring, construction monitoring, project management and coordination, and technical reporting for a variety of projects in various sectors including land development, aggregates, transportation, energy, municipal and regional infrastructure, along with scientific research experience.

Nathan has a broad range of skills including implementing landscape-scale ecological principles, forest and wetland ecology, fisheries, Significant Wildlife Habitat (SWH) assessment, along with more specialized experience with herpetofauna and SAR habitat assessment. Along with a strong background of survey experience, Nathan also brings a strong understanding of hydrological principles, soil science and sampling, and climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Nathan has a strong understanding of municipal, provincial, and federal legislation and policies, along with their application to various stages of projects including Class Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Studies, and various Species at Risk (SAR) reporting and permitting processes. This has led to a specific focus on natural heritage planning, policy analysis, and peer review services.
