Planning Ecologist

Nikki is an ecologist and has been working in the environmental field since 2020.

Bio

Nikki has a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a specialization in physical systems from the University of Guelph. She is also Candidate for a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Environment, Resources, and Sustainability with a minor in Parks and Protected Areas and specializations in Environmental Assessment and Ecological Rehabilitation and Restoration at the University of Waterloo. Her current research involves investigating success factors in conservation management plans with a focus on waterfowl and wetland habitats.


Nikki has experience conducting field survey protocols, including Ecological Land Classification (ELC) and Vegetative Sampling Protocol (VSP). She has experience with electrofishing, benthic surveys, tree and bird identification. She is also familiar with the rules and standards used for IUCN Red List assessments.
